The Swap Force Skylanders are a special team of Skylanders who were tasked with protecting the Cloudbreak Islands. In these Islands, there are 4 ancient beasts, who rise every 100 hundred years to replenish the world’s magic. The story goes that these swap force skylanders were caught in the magic replenishment 100 hundred years ago, and as a result gained the ability to split in half and attach to each other.
And there is the new feature of Skylanders in this game: they tops and bottoms can be swapped with other Skylanders, and this will create an entirely new Skylander. If you mix Wash Buckler and Hoot Loop, for example, you will create 2 new possible characters: Wash Loop and Hoot Buckler. There are only 6 swap force figures available at the time of release. But there will be 16 swap force figures in total…which adds up to an astonishing 256 possible character combination.

You can now order the Skylanders: Swap Force Starter Kit for your system of choice. Each starter kit includes the video game, a portal of power, and 3 new Skylanders characters. The particular characters vary with each game console: order at Amazon.com.

About Blast Zone:

Blast Zone makes his first appearance in Skylanders: Swap Force.
Blast Zone is a furnace knight and member of the Skylands Bomb Squad. He has safely defused thousands of bombs and explosives made by the trolls. The trolls, tired of Blast Zone thwarting their plans by defusing their bombs, decided to throw 100 of their bombs down Blast Zone’s chimney.
Blast Zone, thinking quickly, swallowed all 100 bombs and then belched a jet of fire at his attackers. This act of skill and bravery caught the attention of Master Eon, who recruited him into joining the Skylanders.

Blast Zone belongs to the element of Fire, along with characters like Eruptor and Flameslinger. When the game comes out we will know more about Blast Zone’s history and stats.
